Summer Children’s Theatre Camp
June 25 to June 30, 2012

Parent/Student Information for 7th Annual Westmoreland Players Summer Children’s Theatre Camp at The Players Theatre, US Route 360, Callao, VA

The Westmoreland Players contracts with Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) to conduct the camp to help children improve their self-image, boost self-esteem and confidence, work as a team, and enhance their abilities to act before an audience, (and have fun!).

Schedule: Actors will report to the theatre at 9:00 am Monday, June 25, to audition for 60 parts and 4 Assistant Director positions. A rehearsal schedule for the week will be distributed. Generally, children under age 8 will be released around 11:30 each day. Older kids about 1 to 2 p.m. TIMES OF RELEASE ARE VERY FLEXIBLE BASED ON REHEARSAL NEEDS! Saturday June 30 is SHOW TIME and the young actors will be called after lunch for dress rehearsals and two performances and will stay in theatre until about 8 p.m.

SOME GROUND RULES:

1. NO ABSENCES PERMITTED! Lateness and absences hurt the entire cast team! The Players reserve the right to drop participants who are late or absent. Please don’t schedule medical or other appointments during camp week.
2. WEAR SNEAKERS --- no sandals, flip-flops, or street shoes allowed on stage.
3. CELL PHONES and other electronics must be turned off while in theatre.
4. PARENTS/FAMILY are NOT permitted in the Auditorium or Lobby during rehearsals – this is the kids’ time! A waiting area will be provided (WiFi available).
5. For performances, all audience members must buy a ticket. Ticket income helps The Players pay the MCT contract fee and keeps the application fee reasonable.

Refrigerators are available for lunches and snacks. No sodas or gum, please. Water available, or bring bottled water/juice box. On performance day, The Players will provide a meal between shows.

NO PHOTOGRAPHING OR VIDEOGRAPHING ALLOWED DURING PERFORMANCES. The Players will have a professionally produced DVD of the show for sale. Photography & videographing permitted after the show.

REFUND POLICY: Full refund for withdrawals prior to 6/1/12. After 6/1/12, refunds will only be made at discretion of The Players.
