NOTICE OF ANNUAL MEETING OF THE MEMBERSHIP OF THE WESTMORELAND PLAYERS
The Annual Meeting of the Membership of The Westmoreland Players is scheduled for Sunday, October 11, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at the Players Theatre in Callao, Virginia. All Members of The Westmoreland Players are invited to attend. Membership criteria are satisfied by volunteering 15 hours in Westmoreland Players sponsored activities in the season leading up to the Annual Meeting or by being a Patron of the theatre.
The order of business at the Annual Meeting shall include the election of up to six (6) Directors to the Westmoreland Players Board of Directors, including the seat formerly held by Joanne Cox, which has a 2-year term.
The current list of candidates includes the following:
- Michael Snider (incumbent)
- Christopher Brown (incumbent)
- Dan Beckhard
- Debbie Evans
- Susan Nicholson
Members may nominate themselves or other Members as additional candidates for the Board of Directors using THIS nomination form. Applications will be accepted at the Theatre until the day prior to the Annual Meeting. Nominations may also be submitted during the Annual Meeting from the floor. We request that any application include a brief biographical summary of the candidate’s qualifications.
In addition to the Election of Directors, the order of business at the Annual Meeting will include an announcement of our upcoming season as well as a report on the financial condition of the corporation. Members will have the opportunity to raise other issues of interest or concern from the floor.
