The Westmoreland Players Theatre has established an Excellence in Service Promotion Award for local students who participate in volunteer activities at the theatre.
The Players will make an Award each spring to one or more deserving student volunteers. Eligible volunteer opportunities include performing onstage as an actor or behind the scenes, such as building and painting sets, running lights, managing props, operating sound, serving refreshments, or welcoming the audience.
Awards will be made based on the quantity and quality of each student’s contribution to the mission of the Theatre. Volunteer activities performed at any time during the current or past seasons will be considered in making the awards.
Students wishing to volunteer at the Theatre and thereby become eligible for a future Award should contact the theatre at 804/529-9345 or by emailing president@westmorelandplayers.org.
